The path

Eleven months on real wildlife, ranching and lodge operations. You work alongside mentors who live the industry — and finish with references, hours and a pathway into the bush career you came for.

The Bosroete Apprenticeship is Legacy's flagship year in the field. Instead of another gap year of photos, you spend nearly a year embedded in working operations — wildlife management, ranch systems, lodge life and the day-to-day craft of the bush. You rotate through placements, take responsibility under supervision, and build a CV with named mentors who can speak for you. This is the long path for students who want the industry to take them seriously.
